Chase adventure and mystery with Wohali and his friends in Angels Club 6: The Hero in the Eagle!

Hey, Adventurers. I'm Wohali, meaning Eagle. I currently plunked with the McKinleys through foster care. This could be my forever home, finally. The therapeutic horse farm, Sunnybrook, that they run is pretty cool, surrounded by woods that are a blast to explore. i get along okay with their daughter Kat and the youth volunteers. But, I'm being shunned in my new school, and my trippy 'tude could ruin everything, since I can flip like a switch and rage. Hate it! Don't wanna screw things up for myself when home finally feels like home. Thankfully, the adventure and fresh air help me chill out and squash the chances of me melting down.

My quest to unearth indigenous relics, most especially a Clovis point, pits me against two shady men traipsing through our woods, also hunting for treasure, and I must beat them to finding whatever it is they are looking for. But, my friends and I never anticipated such a shocking discovery deep underground...nor to end up in a legit fight for our lives. Staying in one piece and keeping everyone I now love safe becomes my new mission. Hopefully, the hero in me can be seen over the trouble I can sometimes be.

ANGELS CLUB

Hola, Cuties! Meet new friends!

I’m Jacinda Gonzalez, almost twelve. Although I think I’m pretty nice, not to mention way cool and one of the most knowledgeable people in all things horse, I just can’t make any friends in my new school. The  only things flying my way are totally rude insults. The horseback riding therapy farm where I volunteer becomes my perfect escape from mean bullies. And when Angel, a scrawny, muddy American Curly, shows up as rescue, no one but me can see her potential and lovableness, so I take her on as a project horse to get her ready for sale. But, the thing is, I don’t want them to sell her. She’d be so perfect for therapy. So perfect. Now, if only I could prove it.

Anyway, Angel’s sugar-candy personality inspires me to be sweet in spite of bad things happening to me. So, of course, I can’t resist the urge to make the world a whole lot brighter. Come on in and see how I do it!

ANGELS CLUB 2

Join a fun treasure hunt adventure!

Hey, Trackers. I’m River—“part hound dog and a whole lot Cherokee,” as my frenemy Kat says. I’ve been showing Kat how to track animals all summer long even though we argue about everything under the sun. When we find a buried map in a cave while waiting for a storm to pass, it thrusts us into the adventure of our lives. But hunting for possible treasure puts our already fragile friendship to the test. Can you imagine if we did find loot, like a chest of gold or something way cool like that? Kat could take in rescue horses at her parents’ farm, and I could buy this awesome colt Flash I love so much!

While searching for untold riches, we also have to deal with bullies, competing clubs, farm duties, frisky horses, and ferocious beasts that can claw your heart out. Will this treacherous journey turn us into good friends or make us mortal enemies forever? Join us in our heart-pounding quest while we try to not break our bones ... or our spirits.

Help Em save some mustangs.

Hey, Freaks & Geeks! I’m Emily Ann Rousseau, super sleuth, peacemaker, and fearless striver—well, almost fearless—with big aspirations and dreams. Don’t let my cerebral palsy make you doubt my drive to accomplish the impossible or my passion for the things I love most. Horses, robots, all things geeky, and of course, my Angels Club that does good deeds, all sit on the top of my Favorites List like crown jewels. I want to compete in hunt seat equitation with the graceful black beauty Freedom, but others are always trying to hold me back, telling me what I can and can’t do, or, horribly, saying much, much worse about my funny walk or carroty hair. Well, haha, joke’s on them. Nothing holds me back, especially not meanies trying to knock me down! That only fuels my fire to prove people wrong. A trip to a dude ranch out west to try to beef up my form spikes my love for an adoptable mustang I only saw online that I named Galaxy ’cause his twinkling eyes surely hold stars. I hope to find him a forever home. And maybe more mustangs! Join me in my fight to help save wild horses and other free spirits like myself.

Join Aish and Em on a stolen horse mystery.

Hiya, Peeps. I’m Aisha...Aisha the Bold. Just this past spring, my friend Em and I were so tight, working on improving our Hunter Jumper skills together for competition, but that was so yesterday. Now in the sticky heat of July, with my heart tugging me towards outdoorsy thrills and dressage, and hers, barrel racing and robots, all our summer plans keep getting scorched.

But when several horses from our area are stolen, we wanna see if we can solve the mystery and find them before it’s too late. Sure, the cops say they’re working on it, but one steed needs medicine and we can’t NOT try to help, no way. We are Angels after all. Good deeds is what we do! Add in cyberbullies hating on me, a testy foster kid we’re trying to befriend, another horse rescue, and fractures in our friendship from our ever-growing differences and clashing case-cracking styles? Yeah...we don’t anticipate disaster...or danger...but that’s exactly what we find ourselves in.

Summer...just became a wicked bummer.

ANGELS CLUB 5

Join Celia, River and their friends in an epic mystery!

Hey, Fearless Warriors. I was once fearless too. That was before almost getting kidnapped in a park. Police caught the guy in the act, so my friends are bullying me now, thinking I’m melting down for attention before we start high school. I wish I were. Trust me, if I could stop my panic attacks dead, I would. My mom flies me off to Sunnybrook Farm ’cause the youth volunteers in their therapeutic riding program know a thing or two about standing up to bullies. I’m not a big fan of horses TBH. Dogs are more my thing. So, of course, when I find a stray pit-mix in the woods with a torn ear and bite wounds, I have to help it. However, it’s not exactly friendly...yet. I believe I can win it over before animal control gets involved. But when my friends River, Joey, Devon, and I unearth dog bones with out-of-state dog tags, it hurls us into a race to unlock the mystery before more dogs end up the same. We highly suspect dog fighting, but Joey–a foster kid with his own traumatic past–and I are both already living with nightmares. The last thing we need is more heartbreak or danger from dog-killing criminals. But...we can’t give up on dogs that need us. And we won't.
